For the latest Eileen Fisher Home Collection for Garnet Hill, Marcus Art Directed the season for Fall, 18 with a combination of influences. Working with talented set builder Matt Carstens, Marcus used the Japanese wood technique Shou Sugi Ban on a number of sets in both darker and lighter tones. Taking influence from Eileen herself, who was heavily influenced by Japan when she first started her business in 1973 in New York City, inspired by style and longevity of the classic kimono.
You can see the Japanese influence subtly woven through the collection of images and sets with Piet Mondrain inspired walls, ceder Japanese inspired bathrooms with a soaking tub and metal rings, metal work being a large part of Japanese Design
Prop Stylist Carin Scheve did a beautiful job of supplying an amazing collection of custom made art and props, Christina Watkinson who is a master at soft styling wove her special magic and of course the beautiful Photography of Maura McEvoy who always delivers a special and dedicated approach.
